Why I Started Writing in English

Meet Mrs. Watanabe’s Husband
Hello, I’m Mrs. Watanabe’s Husband. Thank you for visiting my blog Saving M&M (Muscle & Money).
This blog originally began in Japanese, where I shared my journey in fitness, classic physique competitions, and personal finance. Writing has helped me reflect on my daily efforts and, hopefully, inspire others on a similar path.
A Market Story You Can’t Ignore
From today, I’ve decided to also write in English. Why? Because the Japanese stock market has been attracting global attention.
Last year, the Nikkei Index reached a record high for the first time in 35 years. Few markets in the world can claim such a milestone. I believe many investors around the globe are interested in Japan—not only from professional analysts’ reports but also from the perspective of ordinary individuals living here.

From the Trading Floor to the Blog Page
Although I am not a professional analyst, I have worked at both a major Japanese online securities firm and a leading Japanese internet bank in the past. These experiences gave me a closer look at how financial markets operate in practice, but here I want to share my personal viewpoint, not an institutional one.
Where Fitness Meets Finance
Through these English posts, I’d like to share my observations and experiences with both fitness and the Japanese financial market.
My goal is not only to provide information, but also to show how one individual connects “muscle and money” in daily life.
Join Me on This Journey
Thank you for reading, and I hope my writing can give you both information and inspiration. This is just the beginning—so if you’re curious about Japan’s market, or about the mindset of balancing muscle and money, I invite you to follow along.
